Delivering the goods
Since 1947 it has always been part of the day to day service for Stans to deliver goods to your home, workplace or for even as a surprise to someone special.
After the first lockdown in March 2020 we stepped this up providing continuity in supply of weekly groceries to our regular customers who no longer wanted to attend the store but preferred to have a doorstop delivery whilst isolating. We were also very happy to provide a service to new customers having similar difficulties..
The deliveries have been a terrific success with a five fold increase in deliveries and a lifeline to many in our community and beyond.
If you should therefore require a delivery service please contact the store on 01691 772348 where we would be very happy to take your order over the phone. This can be done from 8.30am to 4.45pm Monday to Friday or 8.30am to 12.45pm on a Saturday.
Alternatively you can email us an order on email@example.com.
There is a small delivery charge payable which we can give you more details of when you order.
Hopefully we can be of service to you too but if not keep well and best wishes for the future.
Why not pay a visit to our fantastic new in-store butchery?!
Led by Keith Jones and John Walsh, who have over 65 years experience between them.
With a range of locally sourced British meat, the butchery provides an opportunity to buy freshly packed produce from the cabinet , or a cut of meat prepared individually by Keith and John.
We are “over the moon” with the reaction from our customers. We used to have an in-store butchers in the 1980s and ’90s, so it has come full circle and it’s great to have the butchers back in the store to give the customers exactly what they want.
The response from customers so far has been fantastic – we’ve seen lots of new customers too which is always great.
The emphasis is on top quality fresh British meat and excellent value for money, with all products locally sourced. Keith is also making his famous secret recipe “Ellesmere Sausages”, and his renowned homemade steak and kidneys pies made fresh at the store are already proving popular!
The butchers say they have really settled in and are getting really busy with an excellent response from customers who have been complimenting our new service.
We look forward to serving all our customers – old and new – for many years to come and hope to see you in store soon!
