NEW STORE FOR STANS SUPERSTORE

The Partners of Stans Superstore were recently pleased to announce that they had taken possession of a new site in Llangollen where they would be opening a new 3000 sq ft supermarket and long overdue fuel stop for the residents of Llangollen.

Speaking for the Partnership, Andrew Faulks said "this is great news for all of us and further secures local jobs and supply chains." It is hoped that the new store will be up and running by December 2011.

Jones Brothes of Weston Rhyn, we are pleased to announce, are building and managing this project. Their association with us over the years at the St. Martins site and efficiency in all their projects has secured their services for this venture.

STANS NEW POST OFFICE

The New Post Office will be opening at the store on the 18th April 2011. To provide a full and comprehensive service to the local community and surrounding areas. This new service will be open from 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Partner of Stans Superstore Andrew Faulks stated "It is important to Stans that the Post Office service that has operated in St Martins for many years is retained within the village after the recent closure of the village Post Office and that two of the staff who worked at the Village Post Office would be able to retain employment within the new location.

COMIC RELIEF

Stans Superstore were very happy to support Comic Relief 2011 on Friday 18th March, with staff either coming in fancy dress or non uniform and donated £2.00 also we had buckets on our tills for customers to donate to the charity. We raised a fantastic £325.

Stans Superstore were very happy to support Children In Need 2010 on Friday 19th November, with staff either coming in fancy dress or non uniform and donated £2.00 also we had buckets on our tills for customers to donate to the charity. We raised a fantastic £275.

• Donation to help build Sensory Gardens in the Fron
• Whittington School for garden improvements

The fund was set up by Nisa so members were able to donate to local charities. Since it started it has been a great success.

Keep checking in store for the new arrival of the Making a Difference Locally Money Thermometer, which will show just how much money has been donated so far.

In April 2010 Stans Superstore took part in the Nisa Best Supermarket which we gained a Highly Commended Award.

Here at Stans, we are proud to help our customers help the environment by offering our Bag for Life. We also like to think that our bags are some of the most well travelled in the world with them being photographed in places from Antarctica to Florida! If you are visiting a famous landmark, why not take your Stans bag and submit a photo to receive a £5 Stans voucher and add your picture to the Bags Around the World Hall of Fame!

On the 5th July 2009, we were pleased to unveil our exciting new addition to the front of the existing store. After months of hard work from all our staff and local building company, Jones Brothers of Weston Rhyn, Steve Arnold a.k.a Ashley Peacock from Coronation Street attended the store for the official opening.
Customers commented how much of a difference this had made to our store with a new airy feel to the store with an emphasis put on uncluttering the original main store creating a better shopping experience for our customers.
New product lines have been added to our usual range including an exquisite new Coffee Shop, a more comprehensive greetings card section, gift lines, home furnishing, extended beers, wines and spirits as well as doubling in size our ever popular flower shop.
